Ian W. McWherter, O.D., F.A.A.O.
Dr. Ian McWherter is a consultative optometrist at Bennett and Bloom Eye Centers in Louisville, Ky. He is a 2012 graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Philadelphia, Pa and completed his residency in ocular disease at Bennett and Bloom Eye Centers. Dr. McWherter is the Head of Optometric Telemedicine and Emerging Technology at the Kentucky College of Optometry, Pikeville, Ky and serves as Vice President of the Louisville Glaucoma Society. Additionally, Dr. McWherter is Board Certified by the American Board of Optometry and holds Adjunct Faculty positions with the Indiana University and University of Alabama Schools of Optometry. Dr. McWherter practices optometry with an emphasis on ocular disease, lasers, and minor surgical procedures and was named Kentucky’s Young Optometrist of the year in 2018.
Nikolaos C. Zagorianos, O.D., F.A.A.O.
Dr. Nikolaos Zagorianos is a consultative optometrist at Bennett and Bloom Eye Centers, in Louisville, KY. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Houston and his optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. He completed his residency in Ocular Disease at the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. He focuses on laser and medical management of eye disorders. He has been honored with several awards including the Allergan Ocular Disease Resident Fellowship, HOYA Vision Care Scholarship, Varilux Award of Excellence, Ocular Instruments Ocular Disease Award of Excellence, and the Contamac Contact Lens Induced Related Disease Award. Dr. Zagorianos is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and holds Adjunct Faculty positions with the Indiana University and University of Alabama Schools of Optometry, and currently is the director of the optometric disease residency at Bennett and Bloom Eye Centers.
