Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Telasight, Inc. ("Telasight," "we," "us") provides an AI-powered clinical summary and documentation platform for eye care practices (the "Platform") and operates www.telasight.com (the "Website"). Contact: info [at] telasight.com.
2. Scope
This policy covers personal information we collect through the Website and from business contacts and Platform users (for example, practice staff who hold accounts).
Protected health information (PHI) that we process for practices through the Platform is governed by HIPAA and by our Business Associate Agreement with each practice. It is not governed by this policy. We use and disclose PHI only as that agreement permits.
3. Information we collect
- Information you give us: name, email, phone, practice name, role, and messages you send through our forms or by email. - Account information: name, email, role, login and security settings for Platform users. - Automatically collected information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and similar usage data, collected through cookies and analytics tools (including Google Analytics/Google Tag Manager). - Please do not send PHI through the Website or our contact forms.
4. How we use it
- Respond to inquiries and provide demos. - Provide, secure, and support the Platform. - Manage accounts and billing. - Improve the Website. - Send service and, where permitted, marketing communications (you can opt out anytime). - Comply with law.
5. How we share it
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with: - Service providers who help us operate, under confidentiality and data-protection obligations. This includes hosting and cloud infrastructure, AI model providers, payment processing (Stripe), email, and analytics. - Your practice's administrators, for Platform accounts. - Successors in a merger or acquisition. - Authorities when required by law.
6. AI processing
The Platform uses third-party AI model providers to generate summaries and documentation. Platform data, including PHI, is sent to these providers only under agreements that restrict its use to providing the service to us. Those agreements prohibit the providers from using it to train their models. We do not use PHI to train AI models.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data. These include encrypted connections, role-based access controls, two-step verification, and audit logging of chart access. No system is perfectly secure.
8. Retention
- Website and business-contact information is kept as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. - PHI is retained and returned or destroyed as set out in each practice's Business Associate Agreement.
9. Your choices and rights
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and opt out of marketing emails. - Residents of certain states may have additional rights under state law. - Contact info [at] telasight.com. We will verify your request and respond as required by law.
10. Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect parts of the Website.
11. Children
The Website and Platform are intended for healthcare professionals and are not directed to children under 16.
12. Changes
We will post updates here and revise the effective date. Material changes will be communicated to account holders.
